Went there with 13 family members and 2 very active toddlers...turned out to be a great experience! Live music during dinner was a nice touch and the two babies enjoyed dancing along. Then the drummer let them play the drums with him. Everyone said their meals were delicious! We had a mix of pastas, salads and pizzas. I had the carbonara and I think I was the only one who didn't like my meal. It was a lot of cream and lots of bacon that seemed to overwhelm it, but I am currently pregnant and so maybe just overly picky. But my husbands eggplant cheese rolls and baked ziti were really good. The waitress we had (Jessica) was so sweet! We were definitely a needy group, but she was happy and bubbly, even putting up with my 17y/o brother-in-law hitting on her nonstop. 4 of our family members came in late and we weren't really expecting them. Another waiter said they couldn't sit with us, but when Jessica saw that I was disappointed, she went out of her way to make it happen. It was such a wonderful experience here! It looks like it's not much from the outside, but the inside was a really comfortable atmosphere and cozy. Saw some cute couples on dates enjoying dinner and a few big family parties--fit us all well.

So you're tired from your trip in - unpacked and hungry looking for a late dinner stop. Decision is made to stop by somewhere close to put something in the tummy. That calzone feels like it'll stay for a week. The house chardonnay tasted like warm tap water. Lessons learned...

I wish we had a chance to try their food, but they lost our order and it never showed up. We ordered some food for delivery through Grub Hub and it was supposed to be delivered an hour later. Grub Hub called and confirmed the restaurant received the order and that it was being worked. I called the restaurant 1 hour and 15 mins later and Holly said it would be here any minute. I called again 15 mins later and again was told any minute. 1 hour and 45 mins after we ordered (1 hour after the expected delivery time) I called again and talked to the manager. She (Brandy) said they had no record in their system of our order and that she couldn't do anything to help unless I wanted to wait another 45 mins for food and still be charged for it. Luckily I called GrubHub and they immediately refunded our money and gave us a free meal, but Ducatis customer service regarding the problem was terrible and we would never eat here or order from here again.

Great place. Service is ok but the food is awesome. Has a neat european motorcycle/racing theme. Nice on the inside. Next to Lowes Foods so very convenient. Try the Ducattis Pizza. Good entrees too.

Great family place. True NY/NJ pizza in SC. The Penne aka Vodka was also very good. Amazing garlic knots!

Looking for a little of the local cuisine, we picked Ducatis to order a couple of pizza's. We place the order for pick up and they stated it would be done in 30 minutes. The pizza's were ready when walking into the place within the 30 minutes. We ordered a large cheese and a large Ducatista Supreme. The kids loved the cheese pizza and the adults quite enjoyed the Supreme. I would order pizza from here again.

I'm a local in the Grand Strand area. Despite the abundance of venues, sometimes I feel like I am living in a restaurant desert because too many places rely on frozen, re-heated products. Ducati's is the Italian restaurant oasis in this desert, and I can't stop raving. The atmosphere is casually elegant; the service was polite and friendly. Most importantly, the food is fresh, flavorful, and cozy. I ordered a chicken parm/eggplant rollatini special served with penne marinara, a nice salad, and fresh baked bread. The breading on the chicken & eggplant was light, crispy, not overdone. Everything was seasoned perfectly. And the marinara...Amazing. The salad was completely fresh and gorgeous. The bread and foccacia were delicious and not overly dense or oily. I didn't realize until I ate this meal that I had been craving delicious italian food for years. Now, I am completely satisfied and eager to return.

We came here strictly based on Yelp reviews. Could not have been happier. Ordered a 10" veggie pizza, Greek salad, pepperoni/cheese pizza and Chicken Daniella. The pizzas were made by hand. We were able to watch the pizza chef make our pies. His work station was immaculate. Everything in its own place. The pizza chef didn't touch anything that wasn't going on the pizza. This is huge for me after working so many years in kitchens. The crusts were crispy but still doughy. Cooked to perfection. Sauce was a touch bitter and he used the perfect amount. The fresh mozzarella was amazing. The veggies were fresh and plentiful. Greek salad was a good size. Fresh lettuce. Crisp red onions. Lots of creamy chunks of feta. Dressing was on the side and was a nice balsamic vinaigrette (my choice). Chicken Daniella was amazing. Fresh slabs of mozzarella atop perfectly cooked chicken breasts. Also had a fresh slice of tomato and a piece of broccoli. Served with a tomato and white wine sauce. Was amazing and fresh. Served with a side of penne that was "al dente" and topped with homemade tomato sauce. A nice touch of class was the bottle of water for our table and the fresh bread with olive oil/seasoning for dipping. This was a great find. Would definitely come back here again. Next time it will be for lunch. Lots of calzones and Stromboli's that they stop serving at 4pm

My wife and I ate outside on a Thursday evening at around 8pm. I ordered a 10" pizza with ricotta, sausage, pineapple, garlic and basil. My wife had the white pizza with pepperoni. Bread with dipping oil came out first as a complementary appetizer which was nice. Out pizzas came out shortly after and were piping hot. Both had a nice crisp crust, gooey cheese. The ricotta was a little too runny due to how hot the pizza was. I wasn't a huge fan of the sausage, which was cut into strips and a little gristly. I would prefer a fresh crumbled sausage. We will be back, there's so much to choose from!

Ordered delivery on a Monday evening..the girl who answered the phone was very rude and seemed like either they we're extremely busy, which I doubt on a Monday or she just hated her job. Other than that everything came out wonderful and in the 45 minutes they said. The lobster ravioli was amazing and my boyfriend had the chicken alla Roma and said there could be more sauce. I would have given it 5 stars if it weren't for the rude girl who answered the phone, it automatically turned me off.

Meals were great and staff/owner were wonderful. Best pizza I had in a long time. Rest of the food tasted like I was back in Jersey again.

From the comfortable, welcoming decor, to the extremely reasonable prices, to the friendly staff, to the good food, this was a great choice for dinner in Myrtle Beach.

My family ate from Ducatis three times while in Myrtle Beach this past week. Once was take-out and the other two times were fine-in. We tried a variety of dishes, from the chicken piccata to the lobster ravioli to the eggplant Parmesan. All were well-cooked and delicious. Apparently the place used to be a pizza only joint but when new ownership took over and wanted to make it a Trattoria, they found that people loved the pizza so much they couldn't get rid of it. We tried the pizza and a number of dishes as take-out and found the pizza to be very solid for pizza outside of the NorthEast. If you are in town and looking for excellent Italian food and/or pizza this father and his family of picky eaters highly recommends Ducatis.

Great pizza that delivers in a reasonable amount of time. Prices are a little high, but it's a tourist area so it's expected. Loved all of the choices too.

If this is the closest to NY pizza then I feel sorry for the pizza lovers down here. It was ok, I would try another place over eating here again. Service was subpar as well.

We were on a business vacation and order from here. I had the Chicken Parm. and my sister had the Greek Salad with Grilled Chicken. I have to say that this is the best by far take out food that we have had so far since we have been here. Everything was fresh, hot and tasted great. Will order from them again!

Ordered 2 pepperoni's and a cheese pizza for 2 teenagers, a kid, and three adults. Let's just say we only have a half pizza left - and we're likely to have to draw straws tomorrow for who gets what's left. FANTASTIC pizza! We are here once a year, and we will keep this as our pizza choice next year!!

Been coming to Myrtle Beach over 20 yrs. By far the best Italian in area, and also The best service. Great Calamari, shrimp and veal. Took a calzone to go and it looked great. Will return often

First thing was I did not like that they charged to split a meal since the pasta portions were huge.......pasta sauce was good not great a little thin......garlic knots were really very good.....clean environment........service was a little slow.....wait server could have been a little more attentive....but all in all I would go back

This was the second time in two summers we have visited Ducati's. It was really good again! There were 6 adults in our party. We all enjoyed mostly traditional Italian meals. We agreed that the sauces were all terrific- fresh and zesty. Our pastas were properly cooked, and the portions were huge- plenty for lunch the next day! We have heard that the pizza is really good. Guess we'll have to make a pizza run!

Excellent , found this place by accident about 5 years ago. We make it a point to stop in at least once each time we are in MB. From pizzas, to wedges (sandwiches) to dinners everything we have ever ordered has been awesome.

Went there last night for dinner with friends. We all enjoyed our meals. Our server suggested a few items and two of us ordered the pasta ala Allison (I think that is what it was called...not positive)... we were not disappointed! The mussels marinara was also a winner! We were surprised that they did not have a cappuccino machine . On our next visit to Myrtle Beach it will definitely be on our list of favorites to come. back to! YUMMY!!

We were on our third summer trip to Myrtle Beach and stumbled on this after we drove over to Grande Dunes golf where I was playing the next day. SOOOO glad we did. The staff was very friendly and the food was AWESOME! And huge. We had enough left to take back to the hotel for dinner the next day. Not to mention the reasonable price. We will be going there every year. Likely multiple times each trip!

On vacation from Ashtabula,Ohio, saw this restaurant when shopping at Lowes. We decided to give it a try and glad we did.The Caprese/mozzarella appetizer was fantastic and the lobster ravioli with shrimp was equally as good. Would highly recommend Ducatis for a good meal.

I have no idea what this pizza tastes like. I chose 4 starts cause that was the average. I just wanted everyone to know that they don't answer phones and stop delivering when they are busy. Online or Calling. Downloaded app to get them to deliver cause they wouldn't answer the phone and then it said pick up only. When you are hammered pick up isn't an option so much. Cheers!

Well, I would love to be able to "rate" this place....if it was ever open! I was there for a week with my family and not once, but twice, we went to eat a late dinner and they were closed. Both times their excuse was - we decided to close up early tonight. WHAT? I thought when an establishment hung their hours on the door, that's what the hours were! And on another occasion, we called to ask about delivery. They said they delivered until 9:00. We called at 8:30 to place our order and they said they were not delivering any more that evening....Again - WHAT? It must be nice just to not feel like working and close up shop. We ended up going to Ciao. No reservation, and they were packed. The gladly got us in anyway and the food was amazing. If you want great Italian food and this place has decided to close an hour early again, go check them out

Best pizza in Myrtle Beach, but not worth going to. It shouldn't take 45 minutes to wait for a pizza when there are only 5 other people inside. Also, the owner needs to get rid of his loser cook in the back with his drivers cap on that complains so much customers can hear him from the dining room. You know what, I'm sorry I have a food allergy and can't eat cheese. I don't want to hear you complaining for 5 minutes from my table that I ordered a pizza without cheese - get over it. Wine be going back because the guy.

Went there with a date on Friday night and had a great time. Nothing fancy inside but very nice, and they had a 2-man musical combo playing soft Italian music. Older guys, nice. Our waitress was very young (never heard of Skynyrd's Freebird - told her to ask her Dad) but friendly and very attentive. Date had the veal picotta with wine and I had a Stromboli with Yuengling. Both excellent. Nice quiet atmosphere with background music. A little bit pricey but with a Restaurant.com coupon it was very affordable.

We were visiting at the hospital around lunch time and didn't want to go for the cafeteria food. I saw that this pizza place was nearby and figured it would be a good spot to grab a quick bite. It was neither a good spot nor a quick bite. We walked into the packed pizzeria around noon, and I figured the crowd was a good sign. We were pretty hungry and wanted something more than pizza. Some of the pasta entrees were pretty cheap so I decided to give that a whirl. I ordered the meat ravioli ($9) and was very unimpressed. It came with eight small ravioli that were buried under a pound of very watery sauce and a light sprinkle of mozzarella and parm cheese. The ravioli were cooked fresh (at least I assume they were, since it took over twenty minutes to bring it out) but didn't have a very firm texture or good overall flavor in the filling. The sauce was just plain lame, and the cheese was pitiful...I would have preferred less of a thicker sauce with a good, heaping layer of baked mozzarella. The missus ordered the eggplant parm sandwich which was served on a huge hunk of bread. The bread was just way too big for the sandwich, and all that extra filling made the dish way too heavy. Granted, I didn't have their pizza, and perhaps that was the problem...for all I know they do pizza right and just suck at the other stuff. However, based on the slow service and lackluster food I wouldn't want to venture back in for their pizza.

These guys are great! Last Friday night we had a large group (22) looking for a place to eat. No problem at Ducatis, with 40 minutes notice they were ready and waiting. I would expect that with a large group we would have some problems with service or food but everything was great. Danny served our section and was excellent providing good advice, quickly and easily answered questions and special requests and all the food arrived with what felt like a not too long wait. The atmosphere is great with soft background music and it was easy to hear table conversation, even with such a large group. The owner came out to greet us after our dinner and listened to numerous compliments. I had the Fettuccini Alfredo and thanks to Danny's suggestion added some grilled shrimp. Delicious and good portions, had some to bring home. The menu has just about anything you can think of and if what you want is not listed they are flexible enough to make it "your way". We will be back... Maybe on on a Saturday night when they have live music. Thank you Ducatis.

Service was great.... Our waitress was super nice. We got the Buffalo chicken pizza and it was yummy. The other party we were with got a standard cheese pizza and it was good.... but it's hard to mess up a cheese pizza, amiright?

This is the best Italian restaurant in Myrtle Beach. This evening four of us went for dinner and were blown away by the quality and quantity of the dishes. My wife and I have previously had carry-out pizza and found it to be delicious, but this was the first time for dining in. The restaurant itself is understated but very nice and the staff is great. Our server Traci was attentive and friendly without being intrusive and in the open kitchen, Wes did a phenomenal job with all of our dishes. At our table we had baked ziti, gnocchi and cannelloni all including a small salad and warmed breads with olive oil to dip. All three dishes were wonderful and we all ended up taking leftovers home. That is a real rarity for me and speaks to the generous serving size. In summary - What a great little restaurant. Finally my wife and I have a regular place to go for Italian food during our annual five month stay in Myrtle Beach.

Service was great, our waitress was really friendly and even brought us free garlic knots. I would definitely recommend this place. Great dining atmosphere as well, very relaxing. Outdoor seating and cool decorations. Side salads were way better than expected and bigger too. Decently priced for a large pizza. Even have snappers in a bottle!

The meals are always freshly prepared and wonderful. The chef and staff are always accommodating with any requests. The homemade bread is so good and oh, I have to rave about the limoncello it is mouthwatering good! Their prices are good and they never mind if you split a dish...so you have room for the dessert.

Ordered delivery and was pleasantly impressed. Huge slices of pizza, amazing Malibu salad, and very garlicky huge knots. Dessert was also yummy: cannoli was in point and chocolate cake was good too. Would definitely order again.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
